I'm 75% done.

Need to put interior in teh car. Need to put clutch master in, headers on the motor. Then put the motor up in the car and hook up some custom lines. Then doublecheck the wiring and try to fire it up

Well Kitt's at home, semi-roadworthy. With Formula X as the daily driver I'm trying to decide what to do with Kitt. I'm thinking Auto-X or drifting. Formula X will stay close to stock for now.

My car is over all ready to go. But I have one issue unresolved and it is pretty big. I pitched another blower belt. I pulled the blower off the car and am pulling the driver side accessory bracket off. Going to mount the whole thing on the old motor and see if I can figure out :wtf: is going on.

Update: Got my headers, and put em on. Also bought the clutch master, but I might have to modify the hole in my firewall....and I found out I gave away the u braket that holds it on. So Now I need to go buy a u bracket and the line that goes from the clutch master to the transmission. Always the little things, i swear

Here is a picture of my new headers

steven, are those the hawks headers? did you get the y-pipe also? i like them. i ve been driving my hooptie around. getting ls1 edit this week and am changing the 918's for 921 's so i dont have any coil binging issues with the cam ive been driving around with. i was looking at the comp 918's i have on there and they just look too close for comfort. anyway it is good to find another thirdgen board to post on and get info

Fuck ya dude, welcome to the club, I can't beleive there is another LS1 thirdgen in town, and already running, I hate you

What numbers are you refering, 9blahblahthisthat

I got the hawks headers only, gonna do the rest custom, I want a mean sounding idle, but not loud enough for cops to hear if I'm not in distance.

I am still working on swapping parts from the 350 to the 383. Going to buy a parts washer this weekend so I can clean up all the front accessory brackets. Going to order the headers this week, so with any luck I'll have the engine in by the end of the month

Check out my gallery, I updated some pics......

Well I "hope" I have to blower belt issues resolved. I had to reroute the belt bypassing one of the idler pullies. This required that I replace one of the stock fans with a thinner aftermarket one. Now to work on the tranny issues..... High pump pressure and no 4th gear.........

I replaced the entire fan bracket and all. But I am going to hold onto the original stuff. I really have little trust in most aftermatket fans. I have seen so may thirdgens replace the stock fans with aftermarket and then have overheating issues and go back to stock and the issues are gone. 9D1 GTA is one of them. I fear that I wil end up modifying the origianl stuff to get the stock fan back in.

well i havent been on in a long wile, but here's an update as to where i am now. i got it 100% done, got it on a good hard spin, and started smoking really bad. took it back to the house, just to find out that i blew the rings out on 2,8,3,and 5. so i went to quality engines and got me a very sweet short block. i had the add a cam, balance crank, flat top pistons .060 over, then added all the new parts that i already bought, the headers intake, heads, all that good stuff. got it all together put it back into the car, and it ran very nice. i drove it to work last monday, pull it into the wear house and i hear a ticking sound. i thought it was nothing but the rockers needing to be reset, went through today and checked them all, and they were all good. started it with my friend there and the valve cover off, and the only thing that we can think of is a pumped up lifter causing the valve to click together with the piston. im gonna try and find a shop close by work to listen to it and see if it is the lifter. if so, im gonna have to tear it all back down and put a new one in. also after everything, either my radiator is leaking, or my hose is leaking. no biggy on that though, im just gonna buy new hoses and radiator. might as well, everything else is new. oh yea, tranny is next.
