so you are saying if you go to launch.com and try to watch a music video, it works just fine? I've tried just about everything

and a lot of the little applets people put on myspace don't work right on Firefox... you may not even notice but I've had a few 'interactive' things before... like a little paint surface... you can only view and paint right with IE... not firefox... happens on more things than I can count... still I use Firefox though...

Just tested Launch, it asked me to install the Mozilla Active-X plugin using their help page, I did, restarted firefox, and everything works as expected.

Never had a problem on myspace either.

I blaim the internet gremlins.

awesome... the older versions of Firefox wouldn't work with Launch no matter what...

I thought Firefox didn't use ActiveX... weird... I guess they had to for some things

Your right, FF doesnt use ActiveX, hence the reason I had to install their 'Mozilla Launch ActiveX' plugin 8)

hehe, the lack of ActiveX was pretty much the only reason it didn't get spyware in the first place... I wonder what it will be like now? smile.gif

Its only ActiveX for launch, FF is still safer

Steven, my FF is trying to EAT my harddrive!
It's CONSTANTLY accessing file googlesafebrowsing.db and googlesafebrowsing.db-journal.
I can't do anything on my comp, it's just reading and writing into this file. Even after I shut down FF, it won't stop accessing the file for minutes, I just have to kill the process.

I searched online but found only one answer that said "you might have a virus". Well, I have antivirus SW and I'm running a SpyBot check right now.

Do you have any idea what this file is for and why FF needs to eat a hole through the drive where the file is?

I tried deleting the two files but after FF started up again, it recreated them.

Lou

firefox is VERY memory intensive... IE or Mozilla use a lot less..

at least you don't get spyware with firefox, yet...

I don't install many at a time. Just maybe 1 or 2 per week. It's slow, but steady. smile.gif

We are at $67.05.  Don't forget to click the ads that are relevent to the site, stuff for the camaro, etc.  We made over a dollar yesterday on ad clicks alone...not to mention I found a good deal on fenders the other day using the ads

So, I would say at this pace, we should have money for a giveaway in May or so.

I guess you were talking about May '07?
