it's not too often you find a dual voice-coil 6x9.. I can run it at 2 or 4 ohms.

Nice setup, man.
I love Blaupunkt. As a matter of fact, I have ONLY Blaupunkt in my daily driver .... or used to have ... then some punks broke in and took the rear speakers (3-way coil-overs) and broke all the grilles and stole some tapes, etc, etc, etc.

:stupid:
Yeah, for my convertible, I just bought a cheap-ass stereo and spekers and if somebody wants them, good luck selling it at the flea market! laugh.gif
I'm not putting any nice stuff in the car, don't want it gone the next day.

too bad alarms are pretty much worthless... you could just install a little blinking red LED on your dash that's ignition-controlled... and I bet it would be just as effective.

they get in the car and disable the alarm in under 10 seconds... or they take what they want in less time.

I do have one of the best alarms, but I seriously doubt it would stop anyone from stealorizing my stuff...

luckily my car is always parked close to me, and in a fairly good area (very low crime---sheriff lives one block away)

the worst that's ever happened to MY car in MY possession, was that it got egged with the window down... and it was only one egg... and yeah, it got inside...sorta.. still annoying. damn kids.

Yeah, I bought a two-way alarm for my convertible too. So that I know something's wrong. But I agree with ScarpMaker, alarms are worthless nowadays. Especially since they have become a public nuissance and people stopped paying attention to them. The way to go is to disable the ignition. Which is the way I'll be going. But that's been already extensively discussed in another thread.

Protecting your property is not easy ... but it's definitely easier with a 12-gauge.

It's completely legal if you're 18 years or older.

Personally, I wouldn't want some thief breaking into my car, only to find a 12-Guage shotgun sitting there for them.

The only way to protect your stuff is to make it all stealth... or get insurance, and not worry about it.

I have all that two-way alarm crap, and you know what? You can't hear it or feel it when you're asleep... when the thief will obviously strike... usually it's a smash-and-grab, so your stuff is gone anyways. If it's a more elaborate theft, then they will wait until they know you are gone, at work(too far away from car,) in the movies, etc.

The thief wins, so just don't play your stereo around where you park it at night, cover your subs if you can, if not build a stealth enclosure...which is what I'm about to do.

yeah i want to put my sub in the back under that cover but i dont know how i wanna build my box to fit inthat opening yet. right now i just pulled out the bottom part of the backseat behind the passenger and it sits there so its alright if u dont pay attention. but u cant c my amps so i dunno but thanks for letting me know about the 2way not being able to hear or feel it i was wondering that.

Those are always dual 12" boxes with a divider if I remember right.

They sit in the well, and usually sit flush with the rear deck.

Mine, well... obviously doesn't.
