When I bought my Firebird back the hatch pull down wiring had been hacked all to hell. I rebuilt the pull down with new sliders and a new motor.

My pull down has a 4 wire plug on it. The colors are blue, white, brown, and orange. I have everything hooked up except for the orange wire. If I touch the orange wire to ground on the car the motor goes all of the way down, trips the reversing switch and then comes back up.

Where is this orange wire supposed to connect to?

This is an older pull down assembly that I got from you years ago that we retrofitted into my 91. I'm not sure what year it is. It was from your parts stash.

I figured it out. I'm missing the switch that goes on the back of the hatch assembly. It got removed and the wires hacked out of it. I had to order a new one from Top Down Solutions.

Hey man, sorry for the late response, been busy with a lot of stuff.
Glad you figured it out. The hatch pulldown is one of the most frequent hacks. If it breaks, people just rip it out and slam the hatch.
