I'm looking at picking up a Flowmaster for my 88 Firebird 2.8L V6, as my 23 year old one is starting to sound like aluminum soda-cracker. I'm debating whether to have a local shop weld it in after picking a new muffler up, or cut, prep, and have someone here make a few bucks doing a quick weld.
You can email me direct at mreese@nsyncsoftware.com or leave a message here. Looking to do this in the next day or so.

Pretty much have to drop the exhaust pipe to do a full weld all the way around the pipe. Cut the pipe, get the muffler in place, tack weld it into position, then drop the exhaust to do the full weld around. The welding part is easy. Dropping the pipe is the harder part because of the over-axle section.

Meineke took care of me. I stuck a nice Flowmaster in there.
